Sensory Wooden Bin Tools with Montessori Tray (7 Pcs)

Wooden sensory play set gives children simple tools for scooping, pouring, transferring and sorting different sensory materials. With a tray and child-sized wooden tools, parents can create a small hands-on activity station at home and change the activity simply by changing what goes inside the tray.

What Makes This Sensory Set Useful?

The open-ended design means the same tools can be used for different activities as your child becomes more comfortable with scooping, transferring and organising materials.

• Explore different textures: Fill the tray with materials such as rice, lentils, beans or sand and let your child experience how each one feels and behaves differently.
• Practise transferring: Children can use the spoon, scoop, cup or tongs to move materials from one place to another.
• Learn through repetition: Repeated scooping, pouring and transferring gives children time to become familiar with each movement at their own pace.
• Sort and organise: Add objects such as larger beads, toy animals or other suitable items and create simple sorting activities by colour, size or type.
• Change the activity easily: The tools remain the same while the sensory material or challenge can change, keeping the play fresh without needing a completely different toy.

Ways Children Can Play With It

The simplest activities can often become more interesting when children are allowed to experiment and decide how they want to use the tools.

• Scoop and pour: Fill the tray with rice or lentils and let your child scoop the material into the cup before pouring it back.
• Transfer with tongs: Add suitable larger objects and let your child pick them up with the wooden tongs and move them into a bowl or section of the tray.
• Create a sorting activity: Mix a few different objects together and ask your child to separate them into groups.
• Set up a pretend shop: Use dry sensory materials as pretend ingredients and let your child scoop, measure and "serve" them in a simple shop or kitchen story.
• Make a treasure hunt: Hide larger, age-appropriate objects in the sensory material and let your child scoop and explore to find them.
