NESTA TOYS - Wooden Number Puzzle Toys

The NESTA TOYS Wooden Number Puzzle is a Montessori-inspired learning toy designed for children 2 years and above to explore numbers, counting and early maths through hands-on play. It features numbers 1 to 10 with easy-to-grasp knob pieces, allowing children to lift, match and place each number independently.

Made from durable natural wood with smooth edges and child-safe finishes, the puzzle gives young learners a simple, screen-free way to become familiar with numbers while developing confidence through repeated play.

Why Children Enjoy Learning With This Number Puzzle

Learning numbers becomes more engaging when children can see, touch and physically interact with them.

• Learn numbers 1 to 10: Children can become familiar with the numbers while placing each piece in its corresponding space.
• Practise counting: Parents can count aloud with children as they work through the numbered pieces.
• Build number sequencing: Arranging numbers from 1 to 10 introduces the idea of numerical order.
• Easy-to-grasp knobs: The raised knobs make the pieces easier for young children to hold, lift and place.
• Encourages problem-solving: Children can work out where each number belongs by observing the shape and position of the puzzle spaces.
• Supports fine motor skills: Picking up, positioning and replacing the pieces gives children opportunities to practise controlled hand movements.
• Encourages independent play: Children can repeat the activity at their own pace while becoming more familiar with numbers.

Ways Kids Can Play With the Wooden Number Puzzle

The puzzle can be used for simple number games at home or as part of guided learning with parents and educators.

• Match the numbers: Ask children to find where each numbered piece belongs and place it in the correct position.
• Count together: Count from 1 to 10 while children pick up and replace each piece.
• Practise number order: Remove several pieces and ask children to arrange them from the smallest number to the largest.
• Find a number: Call out a number and let your child find the corresponding puzzle piece.
• Count objects: Place small everyday objects beside the puzzle and count them together before matching the quantity with the appropriate number.
• Play a missing-number game: Remove one or two pieces and ask children which numbers are missing.
• Use it for guided learning: Parents or educators can introduce one or two numbers at a time before gradually working through the complete set.
